[Robot] Graphy: Create flowcharts & graphs collaboratively!

Posted by Prashanth On October - 17 - 2009

Graphy

Graphy is an amazing bot which helps users to create graphs & flowcharts collaboratively. Add a marker #!dot inside anywhere inside the wave & graphy starts doing it’s job. Just after #!dot start typing expressions which needs to be converted into flowchart. For ex: a->b b->c c->d d->a c->e e->b creates a flowchart as shown in the picture.

Google Wave Add-on for Firefox alerts for unread waves

Posted by Prashanth On October - 16 - 2009

FF-Wave-settings

One of the problem I have with wave is, I forget to check back at regular intervals. The reason being, still not many people from my contacts aren’t not on Google Wave. But this sometimes make me miss some interesting conversations. Google Wave Add-On for Firefox is Firefox addon which notifies user about new/unread waves. Install the add-on to Firefox & give your Google Wave credentials in settings. That’s it, add-on starts alerting you whenever there’s something new happening in a wave. Double clicking on the little wave icon in the status bar takes you to wave home page.

Posted by Prashanth On October - 16 - 2009

Bitly Bot

Now you need not to open new window to shorten a URL when you are on Google Wave. Bitly Bot gets the job done inside the wave itself. Add this bot to a wave & enter all the URLs which you want to shorten. Just after few seconds Bitly Bot posts all shortened URLs. Quite simple isn’t it? This bot can also be used as a bulk URL shortening tool, though it might take bit more time when the number of URLs are more.

Posted by Prashanth On October - 15 - 2009

tweety

One of the first things we do once we get Google Account is trying to figure out how to tweet from there!!Ā  No worries, there’s a Google Wave robot which makes it easy to Tweet from Wave. Just add Tweety, a Google Wave Robot to your wave & it takes care of rest. Tweety requires oAuth authentication, so make sure that you allow pop ups for Google Wave page. Once you allow pop ups, try reloading the wave & Twitter oAuth pop up appears. After authenticating with your Twitter account, Tweety loads “What are you doing?” text box. Just type & submit!

soundcloud

Soundcloud player gadget for Google wave lets you play music from soundcloud.com. Get the link of a track from Soundcloud, put it in the URL text box & click “Set url”. That’s it, Soundcloud player starts playing the track which you have selected. User can also enter a user profile URL or a group URL also & in this case all the tracks on that page gets converted into a playlist. One really good feature which should have been there in this gadget is Co-Creating a playlist with individual track links. Which can let all users in a wave to add tracks & create a playlist. Hoping to see that feature in next update.
